My heart aches today at the loss of another teen due to suicide. I do not know the young man personally. My daughter attends his school but she does not know this young man. The sadness and gloom is very thick and dark at Lone Peak High School. The students are feeling confused and afraid. I can not imagine the pain and heart ache his family, friends, neighbors, teachers and church congregation must be experiencing. My heart goes out to all of you. I’m so so sorry for your loss. My daughter felt so sad today she needed to come home from school. There had been reports of two other teen boys who also had attempted suicide this week at our daughters school. I don’t understand the thought process behind this permanent painful ending of ones life. I know in our community there has been numerous meetings on how to recognize the signs of suicide. I know the teachers are addressing the issues on a regular basis. I’ve attended meetings at LPHS and our church which are addressing depression and suicide. It is a complicated mental health issue that is plaguing this generation.
